Unfortunately, the Musical Theatre Class was not included on the course electives sheet for 10-12 students. I just discovered this after most students have selected their classes for next year. PLEASE go to your guidance counselor and ask to add Musical Theatre Class to your elective choices, if you are interested in taking the class next year. I know a number of you signed up for this year, but there weren’t enough students to offer the course. The course was extremely successful in its first year. The master class section of the class was very popular – you will be exposed to over 60 songs from Broadway – each student have 2 to 3 Broadway songs ready for auditions by the end of the year. You will also learn about the business of Broadway, auditions, developing acting skills and improvisation. The year will end with a “Night of Broadway Scenes” where you will perform one of the songs from the master class section of the course.
PLEASE don’t hesitate to get this added to your electives for next year. Let me know immediately if you have any trouble at all adding it to your schedule preferences.
